Petition Action

Force media retractions to be given the same prominence as retracted articles

Petition Details

Retractions should be published in the same position and with the same size lettering as the retracted article. People have a right to be alerted to false information in the press.

Additional Information

Headlines often make big claims in front page headlines that are subsequently retracted, but the retractions are usually published on an inside page, in a small article.
