Make it a legal requirement for vets to scan pets for microchips on every visit.
If it is routine practice for vets to scan animals for microchips, it will crack down on pet theft, and bring missing pets back to heartbroken owners faster and easier.
My cat, Portia, went missing three months ago. I am convinced that someone has her and is not getting her scanned. I need her back so much, and other owners of missing pets feel the same.
