Stop Essure sterilisation being done in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Essure sterilisation implants need to be removed in the uk, My life was over ... Until removal 8 weeks ago. Essure can make women sick. Cause autoimmune, perforation illness, hair loss, the list is huge and repeat operations then to remove body parts, this needs to stop. Please sign
Essure has pages on social media, support groups which does include removal information. Please google Essure for all further information and feedback.
Essure has taken 8 years away from my life, I have had 2 operations since having them fitted, since removal symptoms disappear. Ladies in the uk have not been made aware of the problems Essure is causing. World wide.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is the responsibility of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), which is responsible for clinical advice and guidance. It makes its decisions independently of the Government Parliament.
NICE is currently reviewing its guidance on hysteroscopic sterilisation by tubal cannulation and placement of intrafallopian implants (such as Essure), because of concerns about this procedure. You can find out more here:

In any case, the UK Government is only responsible for the NHS in England. Health policy is devolved in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is a separate sovereign state.
