Halt the sale of the strategic software firm ARM until Parliament can debate it
ARM is of great importance to the security of this country, it is about to be sold to foreign investors.
The sale coincides with Parliaments summer recess so MPs have not had the chance to debate the many implications for the UK.
The sale should be suspended until it can be debated in the House.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The timing of the sale is the responsibility of the board of ARM, not the Government or Parliament.
