We do not need the nuclear power plant to be built at Hinckley; we need MSRs!
Molten Salt Reactors are the way to go. More efficient than conventional nuclear reactors - such as the one to be built at Hinckley, but safer with no long term storage issues, all at very low cost per MW. They're safe from attack and accident, and can use a wide variety of abundant fuels.
There isn't an issue with sustainability due to the variety fuels which can be used in an MSR; there's enough to provide us with power for millions of years!
They can even use existing nuclear waste from conventional nuclear reactors as fuel, and if there were to be an accident or attack on site, there would be no contamination which would pose danger to the surrounding areas - perfect!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. It's clear that you are concerned about nuclear power and molten salt reactors, but it is not clear what specific action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.
