Current status: Rejected
Rejection code: duplicate (see below for details)
Repeat: invoke Article 50 of The Lisbon Treaty immediately.
In petition #133618, we wrote: "Invoke Article 50 of The Lisbon Treaty immediately. The British people have spoken. We want article 50 of the Lisbon treaty to be invoked immediately." The Government's response wants to kick the will of the people into the long grass. We do not accept your response.

"Invoke Article 50 of The Lisbon Treaty immediately.
The British people have spoken. We have voted to leave the EU. We want article 50 of the Lisbon treaty to be invoked immediately. We still have two years to discuss our exit from the EU, but we do not wish to delay it any further."

"Article 50 should not be invoked before the end of this year."

Petition 133618 will be considered by the Petitions Committee (a cross-party group of MPs, independent of the Government) at its meeting on Tuesday 6 September.
