Re-instate dog licence
Three-year-old boy died after being savaged by a dog - don't let any more of our children be killed/scarred for life without trying something constructive to control the problem. Irresponsible dog owners are a problem with a simple solution – reinstate the UK dog licence as lobbied by the RSPCA.
Fee charged to finance management of license system and wardens. A licence issued to a chipped dog together with a hologram plastic disk. The licence will be issued to an adult not banned from dog ownership with valid dog insurance (non-cancelation policy). This will protect animal welfare, ensure annual vet check-ups and responsible ownership
Abandoned/regular straying dogs will be traceable as will those left off leads in play parks. Banning a breed just moves the problem onto another breed
