Allow Help To Buy ISA savings to be used towards a deposit for a first home
Saving enough cash up front for a deposit represents the main barrier for first time buyers to get on the property ladder. That Help to Buy ISAs cannot be used to offset a deposit will be a massive disappointment to savers and will hinder the government's pledge to end "generation rent"
