Stop savers being ruined by endless interest rate cuts
Please stop the Bank of England cutting interest rates. This has gone on since 2008 and nothing has been done to protect savers from a loss of income which has now reached an unacceptable level.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The UK Government and Parliament can only interfere with the Bank of England's interest rates in extreme circumstances. It cannot regulate the Bank's regular interest rates.
You may wish to start a new petition asking for more government powers over the Bank of England's interest rates, as this is something that the UK Government and Parliament could create a law about.
