Reduce the length of the summer holidays
On average the Summer Holidays are between 6-7 weeks, this is a huge amount of time for our children to be out of the education system and out of their routine.
For the average child that amount of time out of school can see their progress slip backwards, for a child with additional needs that lack of routine & education can have a huge affect on them and their families.
A shorter Summer break would be ideal, children can spend quality time with their family while their education wouldn't suffer, the rest of the holiday time could either be spread out around the rest of the year
