Petition Action

Reduce the speed limit outside Woodsetton School in Sedgley and build a crossing

Petition Details

Woodsetton School in Sedgley is based upon one of the busiest main roads into the village itself. Cars whizz past without care or consideration for the children or anyone else in the built up area. All the other schools in the area also have a crossing to ensure the children get home safely!

Additional Information

A special needs school should have the same level of road safety as any other school in the area!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Local councils are responsible for setting speed limits on local roads and putting in crossings, so you should contact your council about the road outside this school. The following link may be of assistance:

You may also wish to contact your MP about the issue: http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/
