Abolish Income Tax altogether
Income tax accounts for about a 3rd of Government revenue.By increasing Indirect taxes and reducing gov expenditure of a much larger amount this tax can be abolished altogether.A smaller government/state could afford to remove this tax.
Why except a tax on our incomes? It distorts our citizens expenditure patterns, gives the gov. an excuse to keep files on all of us and generally removes/impedes our general freedoms. All citizens would be free from government oppression and the Inland Revenue much smaller if there was no income tax.
