Proposals to cap housing benefit for supported housing jeopardises the future of this essential accommodation, which provides a home for the country’s most vulnerable citizens.

The people affected include
• frail elderly people
• young people leaving care
• women fleeing domestic violence
• people recovering from alcohol and substance misuse
• people with mental health issues
• people with physical and/or learning disabilities
• former military servicemen and women
