1.5 million 16/17 year olds missed June's EU vote- give us a post Brexit say.
1.5 million People were denied the right to vote in June’s EU Referendum. The Government exists to represent the political interests of the British public, yet the generation that will bear the brunt of this decision was denied the right to vote. We are calling on the Government to give us a voice.
The Scottish Parliament granted 16 and 17 year olds the franchise in 2014’s Independence Referendum, making the House of Commons’ opposition towards our involvement in the EU Referendum even more unscrupulous and immoral.
Whether they supported leave or remain, we are appealing to the Government to call for a second EU Referendum involving only 16 and 17 year olds. The combined results of both votes will give a true, just representation of the views of the British public.
