We want the government to introduce an Aussie-style points system for migrants.
The migration programme will controls the variety and number of workers moving to the UK and be “specifically designed to target migrants who have skills or outstanding abilities that will contribute to the UK economy” and to fill needed labour shortages.
All applicants should prove competence in the English language and be under 50 years of age unless exceptional abilities exist.
