Petition Action

Provide public, social, indoor, areas without an obligation to buy something

Petition Details

It used to be that people could go to pubs. Here they could meet people, find jobs, socialise and relax, and act out an innate urge to commune with others. Now there is too much pressure on people's homes to allow friends in to socialise. Pubs are are not accommodating and parks get dark and wet.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

You could start a new petition asking Parliament to change the law to require local councils to provide these kinds of areas.
