The TFL proposed bridge at Gallions Reach is long over due; let's build it asap.
The east of London has a lack of bridges; from Tower Bridge to the QE bridge at Dartford there are no bridges, a distance of over 20 miles. The east end of London and south east London would benefit hugely connecting boroughs together and taking traffic off Tower Bridge and the QE bridge.
The scheme is expected to attract new office based businesses to the locality by improving access to employment sites and supporting business clustering. When infrastructure is used to support existing growth, it can be a catalyst for development. The area is set to continue to grow in the future with opportunities for up to to 85k new jobs. The Gallions Reach scheme will be a catalyst for development. This will impact new and existing businesses production costs, efficiency and productivity.
