Scrap the plans for HS2 and use the allocated money to help our NHS
HS2 is a planned high-speed railway in the United Kingdom linking London through to Manchester. The 'Institute of Economic Affairs' estimate the project could be in excess of £80bn. Is, on some journeys, a slightly shorter journey time worth £80bn when our NHS is in crisis worth £30bn?
To avoid accidents HS2 will force existing services to run even slower due to the way high speed trains tilt on corners.
