ALL HOSPITAL STAFF MUST PASS ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST BEFORE EMPLOYMENT

Additional Information

Being a vulnerable, dependent hospital in-patient is scarey enough - but - add the inability to effectively communicate your problems or concerns to staff and the whole process becomes seriously scarey.

The Government should introduce hospital guidelines stating that they should give priority to job applicants who have trained here in Britain. Particularly as there are many newly-qualified British trained nurses and doctors who are currently unemployed.

And, in the interests of all concerned, all overseas applicants must pass a vigorous English language (oral and written) test before being granted an interview.
