Require a referendum to need 60% of the vote to win
In the recent 2016 EU referendum, the Leave campaign won with just 52% of the vote. For a decision that will affect people so much, a larger mandate from the public should be needed. With calls for another vote, if referendums required more support this would not be the case and be more legitamate.
