Child born in the UK not granted British citizenship.
I was born in the UK and I have lived here my entire life but I have not been granted British Citizenship because my father can not find the passport he came here on over 50 years ago and my mother got indefinite right after I and my older brother and sisters were born.
My father is a British Citizen but as he does not have the passport he came here on he can not prove it. I want to potentially get the law changed for children born in the UK as it isn't right that because my parents were not born in the UK and my father lost one document from when he was a child I can not get my passport. When my father was a child you could claim through grandparents so it wouldn't matter but since the law has changed it was made it increasing hard to get a passport.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what specific change you would like Parliament to make to the law.
