STOP! Demolishing World War 2 Monuments.
Historic England only consider Listing Monuments in a National context, not in a local one which could be extremely important to the community, environment and future generations, especially in urban areas.
The former statement applies to the Historic Filton Airfield area in North Bristol, BS34, the majority of its WW2 defence Monuments lost to intense development. One of the last remaining WW2 Monuments, Pill Box Pastscape No. 1427609 now under threat of demolition!
