Don’t allow a hasty poll to negate the UK’s democratically expressed opinion.
At the last General Election 3 out of 4 MPs who were democratically elected by the UK were known to want the UK to remain in the EU. The hasty EU referendum campaign was dominated by immigration and was also dishonest. Had 1 person in 50 who voted leave voted remain the result would have been a tie.
We therefore assert that it is both undemocratic and irresponsible for parliament to advise the UK to leave the EU now, especially with no known execution plans.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
