Maintain British membership of the European Single Market after exit from the EU
The result of the referendum of 23.6.16 was for Britain to leave the EU. It was not to leave the European Single Market.
The Single Market refers to a single territory without borders or regulatory obstacles to the free movement of goods & services, including labour.
The European Single Market is one of the greatest achievements of post-war Europe. It has helped to integrate the different nations of Europe, improving the lives of the citizens who live within them.
The Single Market is a community of 500 million people working, sharing and living together, and though it is one of the founding planks of the European Union, countries outside the EU, like Norway, can still be members of the European Single Market.
