Petition Action

Special grounds for a new EU referendum.

Petition Details

This petition is for registered UK voters who:-
a) Were eligible to vote in the referendum but did not do so and would like to be given the opportunity.
b) Voted in the referendum but have now changed their mind and would like to re-cast their vote.

Additional Information

Just under 13 million UK voters did not vote in the referendum. Polls of these voters show that 25% (or 3 million registered voters) would vote if given the opportunity again.
At the same time, polls of those who did vote show that at least 5% (or 1.6 million voters) expressed a desire to change their preference.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
