Police to fully and rigorously enforce the laws on begging and vagrancy.
Levels of street drinking and drug usage have led to aggressive beggars and related crime in all of the major UK cities, the Police have the powers to deal with this problem but choose not to use them. We request that this approach is ended so that hard working citizens are no longer put in danger.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because it calls for something that the UK Government and Parliament is not responsible for. The enforcement of laws is an operational matter of the Police, not the UK Government or Parliament. If you are concerned about policing in your local area, you could contact your local Police and Crime Commissioner, who is elected.
If you would like to change the laws on begging and vagrancy, you could start a new petition asking for that.
