Prevent reverse charging on mobile phone contracts unless consent is given first
The current laws allow anyone with your mobile number, who sets up a business through the regulator, to charge you too "Receive" texts that cost you money without your consent. Some of these are on the proviso that you opt-out of something you haven't even requested.
It should not be possible to charge you to receive texts until the user has opted-in, by responding to a text message instead of just receiving it, and mobile network operators should be forced to disable reverse charge billing if requested by the bill payer.
Mobile network operators should also be made to publish their involvement in these companies as well as the profits that they make from them as there is clearly a conflict of interest.
