Restrict minors from leaving UK borders unless accompanied by a related British adult.
I hereby petition the government to introduce a law to help restrict the abduction of UK children by foreign citizens (parents and relatives) to safeguard those children from such abduction.
In many cases a foreign national may "abduct" their own child from a UK parent and flee to a country that is outside of the Hague Convention.
I hereby request that the government make it unlawful for a travel facilitator (airline or border agency and such) to allow a non UK resident to travel abroad with a UK minor without either the verified and confirmed express written consent of the other parent, or court order allowing the travel to continue.
Such travel operators and border agencies should be more vigilant and operate an "if in doubt - don't allow it" policy.
All laws in this area should be strengthened immediately.
Furthermore, the government should lobby the U.N. countries that have not yet done so to sign up to the Hague Convention immediately.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
