Ban the use of all animals in circuses

Petition Details

This petition calls for a ban on the use of all animals in circuses in the UK, wild and domesticated.

Whether it be the long journeys, brutal training regimes or constant confinement, animals have no place in the circus. It is archaic, extremely cruel, and has no place in the modern world.

Additional Information

http://www.peta.org/issues/animals-in-entertainment/circuses/ (applies to all animals, including domesticated animals such as cats which have been found to be abused in circuses such as Zippos).

Circuses cannot meet the many needs of any animal. The RSPCA has called for an “outright ban” on animals being used in circuses, due to it being unnatural and cruel.
