reverse the decision stopping pensioners accessing their annuities
George Osbourne as chancellor promised this would be made available.I have planned for my future on this promise. To have it taken away because of lobbying by the insurance industry is appalling, with around five million people affected. This was never debated in parliament.
George Osbournes thinking was that this money belonged to the individual saver who should have access to it, especially as most people had been sold bad annuity schemes.As recently as Dec 2015 ministers confirmed it would go ahead in April 2016. This money was after all our life savings
