Establish protocols for all new born babies with law bound practises.
Our youngest daughter was born with hyperextension in her right knee. The midwife refused to touch her and had no knowledge or experience of this condition. The physio didn't have experience, the health visitors ignored us when milestones were missed. How many other children were not being supported
After lots of nagging and persuasion we got the referrals we needed. At almost two she was finally getting the level of care she needed. The new physio told us that children as old as four were unable to walk- this lead us to question what happened to them?
The physio gave us the idea of the protocol. There are key documents supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities but they are no good without knowledge and guidelines for less well known conditions. MAKE PROTOCOLS LAW
