Ban the use of loud fireworks in residential areas

Petition Details

Many animals find fireworks scary. It is estimated that 45 per cent of dogs and other animals in the UK show signs of fear when they hear fireworks (RSPCA). This can include toileting indoors, shaking, barking and crying. Fireworks should not be used in a residential area to avoid animal distress.

Additional Information

Fireworks should not be allowed in residential areas, and should only be allowed in a licensed settings on set days, not days or weeks before/after the event.
