Ensure that the triple lock on the Basic State Pension is retained
The government is considering ending this
The triple lock is a guarantee to increase the state pension every year by the higher of inflation, average earnings or a minimum of 2.5%.
This is essential to ensure the poorest of retired people can manage in winter
