Make singing the national anthem part of the school day.
Bring back some national pride and introduce the singing of the national anthem at the beginning of the school day in all schools. I doubt that very many children of today no the words to their countries national anthem. You are British and you should be proud of it.
Countries such as Canada and the US sing their national anthems before the start of every school day. National pride in these countries is so much higher than in the U.K. Be proud of your country and what it represents. If for what ever reason parents don't want their children to participate then they can notify the school and the child can be excused.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government is only responsible for education policy in England. Responsibility for education in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is devolved.
You could start a petition asking for the UK Parliament to change the law, to require all schools in England to ask pupils to sing the national anthem at the beginning of the school day.
