Protect the funding given to Remembrance Day services from local government

Petition Details

The RBL has informed members of the Aldridge community that funding has been cut by the local authority, meaning that no further services are able to take place. This devalues the sacrifice made by our armed forces in The World Wars and since then.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Local government funding for Remembrance Day events is a matter for the local authority. You could start a petition on the local authority's website asking them not to cut funding for such events: cmispublic.walsall.gov.uk/cmis/ePetitions.aspx
