Make schools more accountable for bullying.
Bullying is rising rapidly, it is leading to young people suffering with mental health issues and even taking their own lives. It needs to stop, schools need to do more and be more proactive and accountable in dealing with incidents of bullying. We need to help and protect our children.
Many schools deny bullying exists and attempt to turn a blind eye and sweep it under the carpet. Children are suffering in a place that they should be safe and cared for. By law our children have to go to school therefore schools should have a legal and moral responsibility to give our children a safe environment in which to learn and flourish. Schools need to give more education and information on bullying and make bullying a very serious issue and deal with it more effectively.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining exactly how you would like the Government to hold schools accountable for bullying.
