Allow the building of a glass viewing tower on the Humber Bridge
also a visitor centre and a mixed-used development consisting of a 60-bed hotel and 75,000 sq ft of office space – all with associated landscaping and car parking. It was claimed the development would have created more than 1,100 jobs and generated about £17m to the local economy.
