Allow mixed football over the age of 16 in some forms of football competition.
Due to current FA regulations females over the age of 16 are not allowed to compete alongside males in any form of competition or level, regardless of ability, fitness, experience or personal desire. However I feel it is discriminatory to prevent females playing at a structured recreational level.
It would be sexist to try to claim that females over the age of 16 are not strong enough physically. This ultimately takes away an individuals freedom of choice, potentially impacting on their health and well being.
I believe in tournaments such as those run by Powerplay, which are recreational and not professional females should be allowed to compete alongside men.
Women should not be discriminated against based on their gender.
