Government action to make a fairer proportion of our waste collectors women.
I am an ardent feminist, and am thus alarmed at lack of gender equality in our waste collection industry. So great is the proportion of male waste collectors, that sweeping terms like 'bin man' are commonly applied to waste collectors in general. This is unacceptable in our modern, liberal society.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Waste services are the responsibility of local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament, so it's not clear what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
