Four weeks to save one of the oldest primary schools in England

Petition Details

Pott Shrigley church community village school is over 500 yrs old, a small rural school faces closure(others could follow) after the Head & governors recommended amalgamation with Bollington St John's. Pott Shrigley is Ofsted &SIAMS outstanding. We would not expect it to close.

Additional Information

Leadership team has chosen to leave us without a reception class this year. We can prove this could be overcome. If we don't get a decision to save it, soon, and plan for January selection round,we won't have an intake and our school will be gone.House building for the area would indicate longer term requirement for this school. We can't run with the planned consultation to Easter,we would have lost our school by then as parents naturally seek places elsewhere.
