Petition Action

Government to take action in the Southern Rail Dispute and review the Franchise

Petition Details

Over the past number of months’ regular customers using the Southern Rail network have endured endless delays and cancellations because of the strikes by conductors.
With the announcement of further strikes by train drivers, these delays and cancellations are only set to get worse.

Additional Information

The general service on non-strike days is vastly below a standard worthy of the franchise. Endless cancellations due to “lack of train crew” or “sickness levels” is unacceptable.
When services do run, they are frequently running late and are often formed of a smaller stock then scheduled, thus causing overcrowding.

Southern Rail pretty much a monopoly on people getting in to London and the continued strikes and poor service are affecting peoples lives.
