Why we can't pay for Germany to sell cars to the UK

Petition Details

In 2014, the big 4 German car firms sold 640,000 new cars in the UK.

Additional Information

At a conservative average of £30K that totals £19.6B and represent a huge number of jobs in Germany. This petition states it would be criminal if any UK government were to agree a deal where UK has to pay to sell to the EU, and Germany continues to sell to us for free. This must never happen.

The top 4 german car makes alone accounted for 25% of over 2.4 M units sold in 2014.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
