Negotiate fairer discounted travel for 5-15 year old's in West Sussex.
The 3in1 card gave children in West Sussex affordable bus travel to allow them to travel to school at a reasonable price. Metrobus, Crawley has only provided a 25% discount to 16+ as long as they are a full time student. This will cause travel costs for parents double especially if under 16.
Under the 3in1 scheme the cost for a Metrovoyager ticket was £76.50 for 13 weeks, saving parents £8 per week that's £104 over the 13 weeks. This will be for all children and young people who used the scheme. The options now available are included in the following link.
https://www.metrobus.co.uk/childstudent-eligibility-and-id-requirements/
This has the potential to have an impact on children's opportunities to travel to their chosen school as not all parents can afford the rising costs.
