Petition Action

Abolish party politics from UK Government Procedures

Petition Details

Derbyshire Residents call upon TORY PARTY CHAIRMAN, Patrick McLoughlin, to set an example by disbanding his party & sitting as an INDEPENDENT MP to represent TRULY DEMOCRATIC views of his Rural Constituents within an East Midlands Regional Team of MPs, rather than follow a LONDON Political DICTATE.

Additional Information

With NO PARTIES: UK(plc) decisions would be made as a GEOGRAPHICAL CONSENSUS with MPs working in (12?) Regional Groups @Westminster & taking their INDIVIDUAL Policy Mandate from their own LOCAL COUNCILLORS.
By moving to a UNITARY COUNCIL STRUCTURE right across the UK, Councillors would ADVISE MPs after regularly consulting ALL CONSTITUENTS via the Parish/Ward Administration "pyramid" to include VERY LOCAL "streetscene" Groups like Neighbourhood Watch, & LOCAL BUSINESS CHAMBERS in each REGION.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

In any case, this appears to be a matter for the political party and individuals concerned, not the UK Government or Parliament.
