Petition Details

In 2014 16-17 year old were allowed to vote in the independence referendum. If there is an new independence referendum I want it to be for over 18 only.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The franchise (the rules about who is allowed to vote) for the 2014 independence referendum was decided by the Scottish Parliament, not the UK Government or Parliament.
