Make it illegal for UK councils to invest in tobacco
To end the hypocrisy of UK councils investing in tobacco companies whilst simultaneously boasting about their smoke free credentials in their local constituency. The excuse that the councils have to maximise their income can hardly be justified when they are investing in a product which the World Health Organisation estimates will kill 1 billion people worldwide by the end of this century.
