Protect us from inadequate infrastructure and speculative housing development!
Did you know.... the Government WILL reverse local planning refusals irrespective of poor infrastructure if a 5 year land supply is not evident? This is clearly WRONG! Time is running out! Sprawling and “unsustainable” urbanisation will result! We must have LOCAL DECISIONS made by LOCAL PEOPLE!
Gov’t unambiguously demands "sustainable" development in NPPF; its demand for decentralisation & localism are in disrepute & is clearly not working for the people. In the short term it should quash suppression of local planning policy where there is no 5yr land supply especially where serious infrastructure issues are also evident. NPPF para 47.2 should define how land is acquired; Current mechanism is not working for our communities leaving us open to speculative & unsustainable development!
