The legalisation of drugs
We the people petition the government to demand a mature and sensible debate on the legalisation of drugs.
Countless studies have advocated the de-criminalisation, or at least a debate, but Ministers' seem too afraid to accept their advice. Plus, too many individuals are sent to prison for non-violent drug offences in this country. Prison numbers are already at record breaking levels.
Taking control of the supply and demand, within the market, is the key to defeating drug cartels and organised crime as well.
I call on government to start the process of repealing all drugs laws in the United Kingdom.
