Surrey County Council must abandon plans to switch off street lights at night.
SCC plan to switch off thousands of street lights at night, to save around £210,000 a year. This comparatively small amount could easily be saved by measures such as reducing consultant use or abolishing the Chief Exec post, and prevent potential safety and crime issues.
