Petition Details

The reason why I have decided to commence a petition as due to the incipient 9-1 Maths GCSE where 2017 GCSEs takers will be the first year to endeavor the new Maths, most students are finding it arduous and are not being able to reach their target grade despite being a high achiever .

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for the difficulty of exam papers. Exam boards are responsible for the questions they set. Exam boards are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), which regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.

You can make a complaint to Ofqual about the organisations it regulates. Further information about how to complain is available here: www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofqual/about/complaints-procedure.

We could accept a petition asking the UK Government to make specific changes to the current GCSE syllabus.
